The Madhyamik Pariksha 2026 will be held in one paper per day, from 10:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The first 15 minutes (10:45–11:00) are for reading the question paper only.

Languages
First Languages: Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Modern Tibetan, Nepali, Odia, Gurumukhi (Punjabi), Telugu, Tamil, Urdu, and Santali.
Second Languages: English if any other language is the First Language. If English is the First Language, Second Language will be Bengali or Nepali.
Other Important Subjects & Duration
- Sewing and Needle Work – 4 hours 15 minutes.
- Music (Vocal & Instrumental) – 2 hours 15 minutes (Theory). Practical exams in Kolkata.
- Computer Application – 2 hours 45 minutes (Theory). Practical exams by individual schools.
- Vocational Subjects – 1 hour 45 minutes (Theory). Practicals by Sector Skill Council or schools.
- Physical Education, Social Service, Work Education – dates announced later.
The Board reserves the right to change the schedule if required, with prior notice.
